Biocomposites launches SYNICEM™ spacers in Canada
Biocomposites, an international medical devices company that engineers, manufactures and markets world leading products for use in infection management in bone and soft tissue, has launched its SYNICEM™ hip, knee and shoulder preformed spacers in Canada. It follows the launch of the same products in the US last October. Biocomposites, which is based in Keele, Staffordshire, England, was earlier this month named as one of the UK’s 100 fastest growing technology companies by The Sunday Times. Poolbeg Pharma plc – Peer-reviewed POLB 001 LPS challenge trial paper published in Frontiers in Immunology
Poolbeg Pharma, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company with a core focus on transforming the cancer immunotherapy field, announced the publication of a peer-reviewed paper from the POLB 001 LPS human challenge trial in Frontiers in Immunology. The paper details how POLB 001 significantly reduced key inflammatory biomarkers and immune cell recruitment following LPS challenge in healthy volunteers, that it was safe and well tolerated across all dose levels, and that it potently inhibits p38 MAPK driven cytokine responses. Publication endorses significant potential of POLB 001 with the interim data anticipated from the TOPICAL trial this summer.
TECregen appoints drug development veteran Dr. Klaas P. Zuideveld as Chief Executive Officer to lead thymus regeneration platform into clinical development

ViCentra appoints diabetes commercialisation leader Reman McDonagh as Vice President, Global Marketing
