Investment firms 

  • Sofinnova Partners raises $1.3B (€1.2B) to support next generation of life science and healthcare companies, spanning across the firm’s seven investment strategies. 
  • From the recent raise, Sofinnova Partners invested €165M into its Biovelocita strategy fund dedicated entirely to the creation and acceleration of biotech startups in Europe 
  • Informed Ventures launched (a GSR Ventures spin out) to invest in early-stage digital health, software as a service, and consumer products focused on leveraging vertically-integrated AI.   
  • SV Health Investors secures $250M to accelerate the development of first-in-class therapeutics for dementia which includes a $32.4M commitment to the fund from British Business Bank 
  • Daphni closes its third fund, securing €200M to invest in companies at the intersection of AI and life sciences across Europe 
  • VC firm 2150 launches its second fund to back startups from Seed to Series B throughout Europe and beyond to invest in solutions which make urban environments more sustainable and resilient. 2150 Fund II has already raised €200M 
  • OpenOcean launches its fourth main venture fund to invest in early-stage AI startups. The flagship fund has already raised €100M of its €130M goal.  
  • Arāya Ventures raises £20M first fund to back startups across Health, FinTech, Commerce and Future of Work
