Cambridge (UK) based Mission Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing novel therapeutics that promote the removal of dysfunctional mitochondria to restore cellular health and function, announced the divestment of MTX652, its Phase 2-ready, novel, first-in-class and best-in-class therapeutic candidate, to Dimerix Limited (ASX: DXB), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on renal disease, for initial development in Acute Kidney Injury (AKI).

Poolbeg Pharma, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company with a core focus on transforming the cancer immunotherapy field, announced that the first patient has been dosed in the POLB 001 TOPICAL clinical trial. University College London Hospital has now also been activated as a clinical trial site.
The Company also announced that it had raised £3.5 million (before expenses) following a placing of shares on the Aim Market of the London Stock Exchange at an issue price of 6 pence per new Ordinary Share.

A physician-scientist with deep pharma and drug development expertise, Evans joins from the Roche Venture Fund, where he most recently served as Senior Investment Director. Evans will invest as part of the Sofinnova Partners Crossover Strategy, playing a key role in its late-stage private and public life sciences investments.
