Poolbeg Pharma – Cancer Immunotherapy-Induced CRS Patent Granted in South Korea
Patent grant further strengthens POLB 001’s global intellectual property portfolio
6 October 2026 – Poolbeg Pharma (AIM: POLB, ‘Poolbeg’ or the ‘Company’), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company with a core focus on transforming the cancer immunotherapy field, announces that a South Korean patent relating to POLB 001 has been formally granted. The patent, entitled “Medicinal products and methods for the alleviation of cancer immunotherapy-associated cytokine release syndrome”, provides protection for POLB 001 and the use of any p38 MAP kinase inhibitor for the prevention of cancer immunotherapy-associated Cytokine Release Syndrome (“CRS”) in South Korea with a default expiry of 2044.
